How should I prepare for breaker sensor installation?

To ensure a smooth installation, please prepare the following before our technicians arrive:

• Download the Lumi app You’ll need a smartphone with one of the following systems.
  • Android 9.0 (Pie) or later
  • iOS 15.0 or later
• Create and log in to your Lumi account Set up your Lumi account in advance and make sure you're logged in on your device.
• Breaker panel access Ensure the panel is easily accessible and free from obstructions.
• Wi-Fi and internet Make sure to prepare the following:
  • Have an active internet connection with speed of at least 1 Mbps
  • Confirm that 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is enabled and accessible
  • Check that there’s no MAC address filter, or that the sensor device’s MAC address can be added to the allowed list
  • Know your Wi-Fi password
  • In rare cases, you may need to reconfigure the router to allow specific ports and internet services
• Be present at home during the installation The technician may need to inspect your panel and confirm any necessary modifications. You’ll be required to sign an Installation Agreement (includes warranty coverage) and Hardware Purchase Agreement. (Note: If needed our Technicians may ask you to present a valid ID to confirm your identity and authorize the sensor installation)

• Subdivisions or condominiums:

  Secure any required gate passes, electrical permit, and construction permit in advance.

• Condominium buildings with in-house electricians:

  Please coordinate with your building’s electrician and accompany the technician(s) during the installation.
